Godson Micheal "Mr Treasure" Omoruyi Osawe came to united states 9 years ago from his native land of Nigeria, in pursuit of his dreams of one day becoming 'tha dancehall king". Inspired by great musicians like Lucky Dube, Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, the west African legend Majek Fashek and of course Bob Marley he started chanting tha 'Lingo' at the age of 9.
First known as Micheal Banton 'tha little ragga man', then Lex Don 'tha dancehall rippa' he became the undisputed dancehall representer locally. He traveled around the country winning countless music contest and earning the reputation as the next 'big thing'. In 1997 he joined forces with two childhood friends and started His first music group called the 'X-Boyz'.
Since then he has performed all over the United States, such as Seattle Hemp Fest in Seattle, Kat Haus in Sacramento, Hemp Expo in Eugene, Oregon,10K FEST in Detroit MI, Oktoberfest in Appleton, Bella-Luna in Geneva MN, Feel Good Fest in Amherst Wisconsin,Ohio, Chicago, Sandiago,North Dakota, Toronto, Canada. Amsterdam, Holland, Nigeria and accross west Africa. Hes been very active localy performing with live bands DJs in over 100 bars and venues in Wisconsin. He has toured with bands such as Unity The Band, New Found Flavor and featured with Greg Waters and the Broad Street Boogie, Phocus, DJ Epidemic and the show is dubbed "Da Dancehall Jump Off series".
His style is “African Dancehall Music”. His energy is unmatched. His authenticity is beyond any reasonable doubt. His voice is intimidating and his will to succeed is the reason why he is now the undisputed 'DANCE HALL KING' .
He started Black Treasure Ent. llc the parent company of "BTE4LIFE" 4 years ago and is currently launching a few new campaigns like "BORN TO ENTERTAIN", "BUILT TO ENDURE", "DREAM BIG OR DONT DREAM AT ALL" and "NO DAYZ OF" This is "Tha beat of a new era’.
